BMZ lawyer writes article in the NJW

In her NJW article, lawyer Charlotte Gaschke deals with the judgment of the Bonn Labor Court of 24.04.2024 (Ref.: 2 Ca 345/23) on the plagiarism allegations against the professor of political science Ulrike Guérot.

The subject of the ruling is the scope of the concept of science. The court had to assess the question of whether popular science writings also constitute science within the meaning of Article 5 (3) of the Basic Law. It rightly came to the conclusion that the principles of good scientific practice must also be applied to works of popular science - and that failure to do so can therefore constitute grounds for dismissal.
